What to see in Ottobrunn
Ottobrunn is a municipality located southeast of Munich, in Germany, founded in 1955. Ottobrunn consists mainly of attached homes and single -family houses, and many gardens. Ottobrunn is also the German headquarters of the European Aeronctic Defense and Space Company (EADS).
The city center was established in mid -1980 with the City Council (1983) and the center of the community (1986).
There is a commemorative column, called Ottosäule, made by the chiseller Anton Ripfel, in commemoration of the day in 1832 when Otto de Greece, traveled beyond the area of the community present on his way to become the king of Greece. It was originally located 12 km from the center of Munich, marking the exact point on the route where Otto's father left his son. The column was relocated.
